Nokla E97 blends LG Versa and concept phone

Resembling the offspring of a Samsung Omnia, the Nokia E97 concept from back in April and Verizon’s LG Versa, this glorious Chinese knock-off is the Nokla E97. A touchscreen handset section with a 2.2-inch display, camera and Bluetooth can be hooked up to a folding QWERTY keyboard section for messaging.
There’s also dual SIM card slots, handwriting recognition, an FM radio and an MP3 player. It seems a shame that the whole phone-section isn’t taken up by a touchscreen, as 2.2-inches is on the pokey side, but we guess budget concerns held it back.
We doubt it has 3G connectivity, either, but that doesn’t stop it being a great design. Best of all, the Nokla E97 is available right now – if you’re willing to fly to China to pick one up – for just 800 yuan ($117).

Kinetic Cellphone Concept for Nokia

British designer Jeremy Hopkins took cellphones to a new level and created unique concept of the phone. His phone called Nokia Kinetic converts digital information into kinetic energy and make receiving a call, text message of email more visual. It has an electromagnet at the base which allow to shift the weight and keep it in an upright position. User checks the screen of the phone and if he wants to miss a call he should simply give a phone a tap, causing the phone to fall back down again and return back to standby mode. "Aimed at the business user, Nokia Kinetic is an unique phone that responds to notifications trough movement".

Water-based Cellphone AQUA

A very futuristic and very original mobile phone was offered by South Korean designer Bon Seop Ku from Samsung company. The device is called AQUA and it looks like it really consists of water. Designer found his inspiration on a wet table, where he thoughtfully drew different figures by his finger. As a result he got a concept Samsung AQUA together with a graphical user interface and water-based display. It is assumed that the user can remove icons from the panel by simply rubbing the display with their hands. The cellphone runs on liquid type battery that apart from being eco-friendly supports the transparency of the screen as well.

BlackBerry Empathy phone concept

Daniel Yoon created one sweet, sweet BlackBerry concept, the Empathy Phone that comes with a mood ring, as shown below. This social networking-focused device delivers biometric data regarding the user’s emotional state, relying on the mood ring accessory.

Imagine sharing your feelings not directly, but via the ring we mentioned. How cool is that? BlackBerry Empathy connects the user straight away to sites like FaceBook and MySpace for quick messaging and status updates. The device also comes with proximity sensors, allowing you to detect the emotions of the folks nearby through an emotion chart with a visual timeline.

Empathy uses movable keys, a translucent tactile keyboard and a flexible OLED display, plus a HUD (heads up display). The keypad on this phone can change color according to the user’s emotions, that are sensed through messages, phones calls and biometric sensors. Nokia N97

Nokia has just announced its Nokia N97 at Nokia World 2008 convention at Barcelona, Spain. It is claimed as the world’s most advanced mobile computer, designed for the needs of Internet-savvy consumers. The whole thing looks shiny and it has both touchscreen and QWERTY as some of us are sucks at touchscreen.

Nokia’s flagship Nseries device introduces leading technology - including multiple sensors, memory, processing power and connection speeds - for people to create a personal Internet and share their ’social location.’
It has 5.0-megapixel camera with high-quality Carl Zeiss optics, 16:9 and DVD quality video capture, and support for services like Share on Ovi for immediate sharing over HSDPA and WLAN. Well, 5.0-megapixel is kinda common now. The craziest part will be its memory storage, the Nokia N97 can support up to 48GB storage, including its 32GB onboard memory.
The Nokia N97 will be available in the first half of 2009 with an estimated retail price of EUR 550 before tax and subsidies.

The Nokia N97 introduces the concept of ’social location’ also known as the So-Lo. With integrated A-GPS sensors and an electronic compass, the Nokia N97 intuitively understands where it is. The Nokia N97 makes it easy to update social networks automatically with real-time information, giving approved friends the ability to update their ’status’ and share their ’social location’ as well as related pictures or videos.

Sony Ericsson Satio another 12.1MP

Sony Ericsson has announced another 12.1 megapixel phone, the Sony Ericsson Satio. It is a full 640 x 350 3.5-inch touchscreen phone comes with 12.1 megapixel camera, dual-band HSPA, microSD expansion (forget about the expensive memory stick), xenon flash and will be available in three colors black, silver and Bordeaux. Will be out in October.

Sony Ericsson Aino- 8-MP with the PlayStation 3

Sony Ericsson Aino: 8-MP camera, and integration with the PlayStation 3 In a new series of Entertainment Unlimited has entered the touch phone Sony Ericsson Aino. The model represents a younger version of Satio, equipped with 8.1-MP camera and a 3-inch tachskrinom. At the core of new items is the platform of its own design Sony Ericsson.

Sony Ericsson Aino - not smartphone. Its feature was the integration with the PlayStation 3. The company notes that using the Remote Play, users will have access to some of the console. In particular, over the phone can be to manage the content stations. Media Home feature is useful for converting content from Media Go to your computer via Wi-Fi - the synchronization happens automatically when you connect the cradle to the Aino Charging Stand EC100.

Samsung Gloss U440 aka Cleo

Samsung has released its latest clamshell phone, the Gloss U440 also known as the Samsung Cleo in Canada. It is now available in the US thtrough U.S Cellular. This fashionable handset comes with 2.2-inch TFT internal display, an external display, a 1.3MP camera, a full QWERTY keyboard, a music player, easyedge Service, a microSDHC card slot and Stereo Bluetooth connectivity. Choose from charcoal and pink. No word on pricing.

Transparent Phone

Window Phone - concept phone On one hand, clear conceptual phones already, so this is not just the first, but on the other, the so-called Window Phone has one impressive feature - its transparent housing varies depending on the weather! Thus, in the sunny days, the screen will be completely transparent, on a rainy day it will appear «virtual» drop, but it is covered with frost frost. Ie translucent screen will look like as well as present a window into a variety of weather. I do not know how it will be practical, but at least, very original!.
