1. Rod Laver




Rodney George Laver MBE (born August 9, 1938, in Rockhampton, Australia) was the World No. 1 player for 7 consecutive years. He is also the only player in history to have twice won all four Grand Slam titles in the same year. No other player of the modern (open) era has even managed it once! Rod Laver is rated as the greatest male player of all time by most tennis experts.
